Dear Alliancing colleagues, Welcome to AAA2011, your Association’s Fifth Annual Convention. The Alliancing Association Convention has become a highly respected and much sought after annual event because it gives YOU the opportunity to share YOUR views and have YOUR say on how we can evolve the models and practices of collaborative delivery of infrastructure assets and services. Building on the last year’s comments and your input on topics that should be discussed, the AAA2011 promises to be a very stimulating event. We have sought to provide a forum to focus on the full perspective - Collaboration with 20/20 Vision - with thought provoking content coverage and variety, along with a balanced allocation of time between discovery, discussions, and sharing ideas with industry leaders. Above all, we have worked to provide the time and opportunity for you to meet with industry colleagues who share your interest in collaboration and understand your daily challenges. We also look forward to the opportunity of hearing from our Queensland colleagues who have had some unique challenges this last year. In 2011, AAA is offering a week long program of events on the practice of business collaboration in infrastructure. It will enable members and guests to explore the wider applications and practice based on their job focus and interests. The Alliance Manager Forum, the Public Infrastructure Agencies Forum, AAA2011 annual convention, AAA Annual General Meeting and first time in Australia, the annual global conference on Lean in Public/Private Infrastructure (LIPPI), which we proudly co-produce with the Australian chapter of Lean Construction Institute . Let’s not forget our annual Awards of Excellence ceremony which gives us the opportunity to celebrate the excellent work of our alliance teams. This will be an event not to be missed and we look forward to seeing you there.
